Bratex presents - Struga Quattro - a new gutter system
Struga Quattro is a new suspended gutter system produced by Bratex, which is made of Scandinavian steel, i.e. a material with proven and valued around the world physical, mechanical and technological properties. Thanks to this, the Struga Quattro system is a guarantee of durability, failure-free operation and efficiency for many years. Get to know the details of this modern solution.
Scandinavian steel - a solid basis for the gutter
The Struga Quattro gutter system is built using the highest quality, Scandinavian SSAB steel sheet. It is a hot-dip galvanized steel core, coated on both sides with a primer layer and a matt varnish GreenCoat RWS Pro BT with a thickness of 35 μm.
SSAB sheets in the GreenCoat coating are based on bio-technology (BT), thanks to which most of the petroleum compounds in the top coating have been replaced with natural Swedish rapeseed oil. Such an ecological solution allows you to effectively reduce the emission of many harmful substances contained in petroleum-based varnishes into the atmosphere. GreenCoat sheets are therefore the most environmentally friendly products currently available on the market.
Struga Quattro - a simple gutter system with exceptional properties
Steel gutters in the Struga Quattro system from Bratex are durable and resistant to mechanical damage roof solutions, which are currently the best guarantee of both excellent technical and quality parameters. The Struga Quattro suspended gutter system is a uniform product, which means that all its elements are manufactured from the highest quality galvanized steel during a fully automated production process.
The Struga Quattro system is also a guarantee of the highest aesthetic values. Its downpipes are closed with a rabbet (placed inside the pipe), which makes it invisible. The system uses side joints of the pipe elbows, as well as precisely made extrusions of drain funnels and hooks to the fascia board. This allows to achieve the highest quality of workmanship, which translates into long-term durability of the entire solution.
Professionally designed gutter connectors are an innovative solution by Bratex Dachy Mrzygłód, which allows you to achieve 100% effectiveness in contact with rainwater, regardless of whether it is flowing water or water standing in one place for a long time.
The Struga Quattro gutter system is distinguished primarily by:
- symmetrical suspended gutter without hooks visible from the bottom
- universal corner pressed from a single piece of sheet metal
- downpipe with an original trapezoidal shape with rounded corners
- proven and XNUMX% tight gutter connectors, lids and downpipe clamps
The Struga Quattro suspended gutter system is offered in one size corresponding to the 135/100 round system. It is recommended for use on slopes with an area of 125-250 m2, assuming the use of one extreme and two extreme drains, respectively.
The gutter system is available in three popular matt colors: 015 matt, 036 matt, 434 matt, thanks to which it is easier to match their shade to the roofing, both in terms of the same shade and creating contrasting elements.
What does the Struga Quattro gutter system consist of?
Symmetric gutter
The symmetrical suspended gutter complements the roof slope, creating the impression of a built-up area. Due to the suspension on a two-part hook, the mounting elements are invisible to the recipient.
Trapezoidal downpipe
The trapezoidal shape of the pipe makes it perfectly fit into the plane of the house wall. The rabbet closing the downpipe is aesthetically hidden inside, which additionally improves the aesthetics of the entire system.
Two-piece fascia hook
The strength of the entire gutter system is largely based on the fastening. The hooks for the fascia board are designed for strength, thanks to which the hooks provide solid support for gutters, which can be temporarily loaded with ice or snow inside them.
Hook material:
- fixed part, galvanized flat bar 5×30 mm, powder coated
- movable part, 1,25 mm metallurgical lacquered sheet
Universal gutter cover with a gasket, set of 2 pcs.
Two sets, lids and butyl rubber gaskets to be applied inside the gutter, after putting on the lid. They ensure 100% tightness and prevent water stagnation on the cut edge of the gutter.
Corner 90o
Universal element, internal and external, pressed from one piece of SSAB sheet.
Gutter connector with butyl tape
Proven in the round system, it is the use of a butyl seal on the gutter joints, and then fastening the multiple opening and closing connector. It ensures 100% tightness. This is a completely new concept of this element.
Drain funnel
An element that ensures effective drainage of rainwater to the downpipe.
Downpipe elbow, face and wall
The unique shape of the downpipe forced the presence of two elbows. They also function as a spout.
Universal pipe holder
An element to be used on facades with thermal insulation and without thermal insulation of the wall. The cage nut available in the set enables the use of a pin. The second nut with a bolt acts as a lock for the clamp.
Available pin lengths: 100 / 160 / 200 / 250 / 300 mm.
The most important assembly tips for the Struga Quattro system
The Bratex Dachy Mrzygłód company recommends that snow protection systems be installed on roofs intended for the installation of the Struga Quattro system. This will improve operational safety and increase system protection against damage in difficult weather conditions.
The gutters should be installed in such a way that in the event of snow deposits sliding down, the elements of the gutter system do not support it. The roof eaves should not protrude more than half the diameter of the gutter. In turn, the gutter must be located below the extension line of the roof surface. If these instructions are not possible or difficult to follow, snow guards must be used. In addition, the gutters should have a slight slope towards the downpipes of 3-5 mm/m.
The gutter system should be thoroughly cleaned of filings and any impurities generated during installation. It should be remembered that steel elements and filings left in contact with weather conditions will cause rusting and destruction of gutter coatings.
Sheet metal elements (gutters, downpipes, etc.) should not be cut with abrasive devices (e.g. angle grinder), because sparks generated while working with such tools can damage the protective layers of gutters and other system components, which in turn may weaken the strength steel in contact with weather factors.
